This module hopes to assist teachers to manage with disaster by developing their coping skills. It offers them a different perspective on coping as seen by the responses of the natural world. A definition of coping is discussed. Teachers are introduced to a simple scale to measure their present level of resiliency and they are introduced to various strategies to assist them in interacting with students during and after this pandemic.
This session seeks to help teachers guide and support students via various suggested strategies, through the transitioning process from a structured setting in a classroom where they are more passive learners, to a virtual environment where they are expected to be more active, independent learners.
